Italian liner 'Ausonia' ablaze - watercolour 1935

On October 18th, 1935, the Italian passenger/cargo ship AUSONIA, built in 1928 by G. Ansaldo & Co. and owned at the time of her loss by lloyd Triestino, on voyage from Trieste to Alexandria in ballast, was badly damaged in a fire off Alexandria and beached.
